Wethu is the latest full-length album by acclaimed Amapiano producer uLazi, released on June 27, 2025, through Mguzuguzu Records. Spanning 15 tracks and clocking in at just over an hour and a half, this project is a bold and immersive exploration of uLazi’s signature sound—characterized by layered percussion, hypnotic log drums, moody atmospheres, and deep, rolling basslines.

The title Wethu, meaning “ours” in isiZulu, sets the tone for a project rooted in community, identity, and shared musical expression. uLazi doesn’t just build beats—he builds landscapes, crafting each track to feel like a sonic journey through South African township life. From high-energy bangers like “Ganda Ganda” to more meditative grooves like “Jappi Wethu,” the album showcases a wide emotional range, balancing dancefloor readiness with introspective moments.
A highlight of Wethu is its collaborative nature. uLazi brings in a host of talented guests—Officixl Rsa, Navaro, Benzoo, Mender_ZA, Infinity MusiQ, El-Kay MusiQ, and more—each adding unique textures and perspectives to the mix.
