Azana returns with a new single titled Zabalantu
Zalabantu is an Afro pop love song that explains bits of my culture as a Zulu girl, in this song I tell my lover that they must come to my home to pay for Lobola. Lobola is the practice of paying a bride price which is traditionally paid with cattle however nowadays money is equivalent.
I proceed by exaggerating, telling him to bring 2 million rands for the Lobola negotiations because after all I’m worth it! This is the debut single from my sophomore album IGAGU. In this beautiful song I worked with Sakhile Mfowami on production and both Sakhile Mfowami and Sbahle Mdunge on the songwriting, I am truly proud of this masterpiece.
