A-Reece dismisses rumors of beefing Nasty C
A-Reece has finally addressed the long-standing rumours of a feud with Nasty C, making it clear there’s no bad blood between them.
The rapper took to X to shut down the narrative and instead called for a culture-shifting moment in South African hip-hop.
“David and I aren’t covertly beefin’ or anything like that, man, that narrative should start collecting dust at this point,” he tweeted.
Reece went on to say that dropping music on the same day as Nasty C would not only be historic but also beneficial for the culture.
“Dropping on the same day would actually be amazing for South African Hip-Hop… Two giants, two different sounds, two different fan bases, one fucking culture,” he added.
He even floated the idea of Shane Eagle joining in, imagining a groundbreaking moment for the local scene: “Shit, I mean, add Shane in there too now imagine that.”
Fans have often speculated about tension between A-Reece and Nasty C, but with this statement, Reece has made it clear, he’s more focused on unity and elevating South African hip-hop than fuelling rivalries.
David and I aren’t covertly beefin’ or anything like that, man, that narrative should start collecting dust at this point. None of what’s happening currently is intended to feed into that bs. & if I can keep it a bean, dropping on the same day would actually be amazing for South…
