The Forbes family has been asked to pack the belongings of their late son, Kiernan AKA Forbes out of the house he occupied.
Opposed to what a majority presumed, it was reported to Sunday World that the rapper didn’t own the house he lived in.
The rented house worth R4 million situated in Bryanston is owned by the landlord whose name is Nthsimane Mekoa.
“It was not his house. He was renting the property and was paying about R40 000 a month. I know people thought this was his house because of the vehicles he was driving,” said AKA’s close ally.
It was further revealed that a new occupant is now residing in the house while the late rapper’s belongings are kept in storage.
However, Mekao slammed reports of evicting the slain rapper from the house.
“AKA passed away. There was no one staying in the apartment, so we had to get someone new,” he said.
Mekoa also denied the unit was paid well in advance, saying he could not divulge details of the contract because it was private.
“The lease agreement was between the two of us. I can’t tell you what it states. It is a private matter between me and him and it will remain such.”
