Award-winning singer-songwriter Berita has taken to social media to reintroduce herself to fans while teasing the release of her upcoming single, Namhlanje.
In a heartfelt post, the artist, whose real name is Gugulethu Khumalo, shared a personal message reflecting on who she is beyond the stage name many people know.
“Allow me to reintroduce myself. My name is Gugulethu Khumalo, but you know me as Berita. I play guitar, sing, and write songs. I love music,” she wrote.
The musician also gave fans a glimpse into the personality behind the music, describing herself as someone who enjoys fashion and embraces romance.
“I’m also just a girl who loves fashion and is a hopeless romantic,” she added.
Berita went on to hint at the direction of her upcoming music, saying her new work reflects personal growth and the woman she has become over the years.
“I want to give you music that feels like a breath of fresh air. It’s soulful, romantic and a reflection of the woman that I’ve become.”
She also confirmed that her latest single, Namhlanje, is set to be released on Friday, 20 March, building anticipation among fans who have been eager for new material from the celebrated singer.
