DJ Maphorisa demands to be appreciated while he is still alive.
The South African music producer took to social media on Sunday, explaining how he’s sacrificed a lot for other musicians to shine.
“I suffered for the kids to eat proper food “the music industry”, Remember that if I was not there the game will still be the same. I took a big sacrifice fighting for yall Amapiano guys are all eating now, a dream come true. Please appreciate me while I’m still kicking, Danko,” he wrote.
Lawd Phori indeed deserves his flowers just as he’s stated, as he’s remained consistent in the industry despite jumping from one music genre to the other; he’s also helped open the industry for some of the music stars people droll on these days.
Phori’s relevance and contribution to the industry can’t be snubbed.
