Big Nuz’s Mandla “Mampintsha” Maphumulo died on Saturday morning after suffering a minor stroke a few weeks ago.
News about the music producer’s health condition broke out this week and many sent their prayers to him as he was hospitalised.
The Kwaito star was admitted at King Edward Hospital in Durban, KZN last weekend and later taken to Durdoc Hospital in Durban Central.
Tributes flood social media for the 40-year-old star, who is survived by his wife, Babes Wodumo and a son, Sponge wodumo.
DJ Tira who is a friend of the late star released a statement through his record label, Afrotainment to confirm the death.
“It is with great sadness that we share the news of the untimely passing of multi-award winning artist, Mampintsha,” reads the statement.
