Samthing Soweto appears to have been sidelined on the new Amapiano single titled Amalanga Awafani.
The song’s production was a collaborative success, with contributions from several talented artists. Mas Musiq and Lawd Weezy, along with DJ Maphorisa and To StarQuality, were credited as the creators of the track.
However, when the song was officially released, it became apparent that Samthing Soweto, despite his significant vocal contributions, was not given any credit.
Samthing Soweto, whose real name is Samkelo Lelethu Mdolomba, lent his unique voice to the song, but his name was noticeably missing from the credits.
This omission has sparked outrage among South Africans and fans of the musician, who have accused DJ Maphorisa and Mas Musiq of exploiting Samthing Soweto’s talent without proper acknowledgment.
Fans and supporters are now calling out the producers for what they see as unfair treatment and are demanding that Samthing Soweto receive the recognition he deserves for his work on Amalanga Awafani.
Taking to social media, Samthing revealed that he is heartbroken by the music artists’ deeds.
