Some South African artists have shared their views of Will Smith attacking Chris Rock at the Oscars.
The incident was reported that Will Smith slapped Chris Rock at the event while he was making a joke about his wife’s health.
While introducing the best documentary award with a short comedy act, Rock joked about Jada Pinkett Smith’s drastically chopped hair being reminiscent of Demi Moore’s début in the film “G.I. Jane” and suggested she star in a sequel. Smith moved over to Rock and smacked him, then went to his seat with Jada and yelled profanities, creating an uncomfortable atmosphere of tension and uncertainty in the Dolby Theatre. Smith shouted, “Keep my wife’s name out of your f******* mouth!”
The moment of seconds left the whole world wondering if it was staged or real.
Artists like Cassper Nyovest, K.O, Gigi Lamayne, Sizwe Alakine, and a few more artists all reacted to the incident. Surprisingly, they all seemed to have sided with Will Smith on defending his wife publicly.

I get Will. Jadas medical condition is not to be joked about. Furthermore there comes a time when you become weary of being made a joke. This was just the blow up. #WillSmith #whatjusthappened #jada pic.twitter.com/IVKsJEFjpF

The Will Smith and Chris Rock situation just so unfortunate. Respect to both icons and I hope they sort it out.

Will Smith ended August Alsina’s career… He couldn’t do that with Chris so he slapped him!

Hmmm the more I watch it the more I think it’s staged, I don’t think you’d smack a person if your a guy you punch him the fuck out!
The message is clear we need to stop this bullyingWill is a damn good actor his acceptance was just as good as “pursuit of happiness”
