Who’s dropping the December 2021 hit?

It’s become the norm in South Africa to get a festive record that usually goes on to become the Song of the Year. Last year the honor belong to Master KG, performing the song “Xola Moya Wami” while in 2019 DJ Zinhle’s monster hit Umlilo was crowned for her effort.

Going from Amapiano, GQom, Afro House, and Hip Hop, few musicians have consistently saved their last joker for December in ensuring all clubs play their melody.

Amapiano hitmaker, Kabza De Small is certain to be on the first spot on the list as he has been reliable over the past years. Over the past few weeks, he’s released impressive singles with the likes of Big Zulu, Josiah De Disciple, DJ Maphorisa, and a couple more. Letting a track out of his inventory, he as of late dropped Mntakababa with Focalistic and Msaki. His collaboration with Young Stunna, Adiwele is currently the most played song in South Africa.

Last Year, craftsmen like Black Coffee, Busta 929, Sha, De Mthuda, DJ Stokie, Major League, Emtee, Oskido, Sun-EL Musician, Mshayi, AKA, Mpura, and a couple more positioned most elevated on the rundown last year as hitmakers.

It is a gamble to predict festive hit songs, as seen last year Marapa A Jazz’s John Vuli Gate came out of nowhere and blew the country away. Who is your money on this festive?

Some of the artists we’re putting our money on are Kabza De Small, Black Coffee, DJ Maphorisa, Sha Sha, Makhadzi, De Mthuda, Cassper, DJ Zinhle, Kamo Mphela, King Monada, Master KG, and Emtee.
