“Rise Of A King II” by DJ Pre_Tedzo is a full-length South African dance project that blends Amapiano, Afro House and deeper electronic influences into a cohesive musical journey. The album explores themes of spiritual growth, personal resilience, love, identity and cultural connection, with DJ Pre_Tedzo using the project to create a sound that feels both introspective and built for the dancefloor. The 11-track album features collaborators including Leenathi, Happy Jazzman, Anele Lushaba, De Soul, Olley RSA, Baby Momo, Tim Welsh and Musical Acid.
Dj Pre_Tedzo, De Soul and Olley Rsa recently appeared on Ngixolele.
The production moves between atmospheric introductions and interludes, soulful vocal performances and more energetic rhythmic cuts. Tracks such as “Owami Ngedwa,” “Lerato Fela” and “Impilo Yami” bring a more emotional and melodic dimension, while “Ngixolele,” “Ulova,” “Tag 10” and “Tag 11 [The 3rd Step]” lean into deeper basslines, rolling percussion and club-focused grooves. Across the project, crisp percussion, layered melodies, spacious textures and commanding low-end give the album a strong contemporary South African dance identity.
Overall, “Rise Of A King II” is an expansive and soulful dance album that balances reflection with rhythmic energy. DJ Pre_Tedzo creates a project that can move from intimate, emotionally driven moments to powerful late-night dancefloor sessions, making it well suited to deep listening, DJ sets and fans of modern Amapiano and South African electronic music.
