“053 Meets Stones” by Mender_ZA & uLazi is a groove-driven Amapiano EP that brings together a strong collective of South African producers and DJs, including Mphoet, Uhnkle P, Busta 929, DJ Jaivane, Djy Vato, Makwande.sa and Soul Da Dj. The project carries a deep, rhythmic character, with extended tracks designed around movement and atmosphere.

The production leans heavily into deep basslines, rolling percussion and spacious melodic layers, giving the EP a smooth but energetic feel. Tracks such as “IFrostan,” “Red Code,” “Stepetepe,” “Bhaka Dongo,” “Sababa” and “Deep Touch” maintain the project’s extended groove, with several tracks running beyond six minutes and allowing the arrangements to develop gradually.
There is also a noticeable Afro House influence within the project, despite its Amapiano classification. “Bhaka Dongo,” for example, combines the rhythmic foundation of the collaboration with a deep Afro House feel, while “Deep Touch” moves into a smoother, more atmospheric space.
