Best African DJs in 2020

There are a lot of good Disc Jockeys in Africa today. But However, there are outstanding DJs who have been working marvelously for us and definitely deserves to be celebrated for giving us the best beat we deserve in both good and bad times.

10. R3HAB: R3hab, is a Moroccan Dutch DJ. He has been dominating the Morroco music industry with amazing hits. R3HAB is one of the most viewed DJs in Morroco with more than 10 million views on his posts. As a young DJ in the country, he has been making more heads in the industry, elevating Morocco in the music industry.

9. DJ Spinall: A.K.A TheCap is a Nigerian Record Producer, songwriter, Label Executive, and Media Personality.

Much work has been done by him. DJ Spinall is popularly known for promoting underground talents at a weekly platform after he was the official DJ to Wande Coal when he was at Mavin Records.

8. DJ Neptune: DJ Neptune is one of the most recognized DJs in Nigeria. He is popularly known for featuring artists on his made beats and making remixes of songs. He currently had an Amapiano version of his Nobody where he added Focalistic to the track this time.

DJ Neptune was also the official DJ for the famous show in Nigeria titled Big Brother Naija which he entertained Nigerians in the concluded season.

7. Oskido: DJ Oskido is one of the oldest DJ’s in South Africa. He has been consistent in the industry for 30 years, delivering amazing hits to South Africans. He recently had a collaboration with MFR Souls where they featured J’Something on their track Like Everyday.

DJ Oskido is also known for bringing DJ Maphorisa into the industry and a few more of them.

6. Euphonik: Euphonik is a South African music producer and DJ. He is mostly known for playing house music under the alias Euphonik. He has been consistent for years delivering hot mixes to his fans but took a rest 4 years ago. He has been quiet on producing after he brought Killer Kau to fame online.

5. Shimza: Shimza is a South African DJ and musical artist. He has always proved to be good at what he does in the industry. For a rising DJ, he’ll be taking the privilege of working with DJ Maphorisa on their Amapiano and House music battle in South Africa very soon.

4. DJ Zinhle: Appearing as the only female DJ here, DJ Zinhle’s works speak for her. Having the ability to be consistent and still be dropping hits is one of the things DJ Zinhle is known for. Having AKA’s first child, she also got the award as South Africa Song of the year.

Apart from hitting musical awards, DJ Zinhle recently acquired equity and took over as CEO of Boulevard.

3. DJ Maphorisa: DJ Maphorisa is regarded as one of the Amapiano pioneers in South Africa. He is popularly known for his hits Amapiano hits he delivers to the audience. Much is expected from Maphorisa as he has come a very long in the industry from featuring on TV shows to becoming the man of himself today.

He has worked with and has received production credits from several notable artists including Wizkid, Kwesta, Uhuru, Drake, Black Coffee, and a lot more of them.

DJ Maphorisa is also popularly known for working with Amapiano king Kabza De Small. They appear as a duo most times in bringing their fans.

2. DJ Jimmy Jatt: Nigerian DJ, Jimmy Jatt is one of the oldest DJ’s in Nigeria. He is believed to be one of those pioneering Hip Hop DJs in Nigeria. Jimmy Jatt has featured with amazing artists in the industry too like 2Face and a lot in the industry.

He is the Nigerian legend that overthrown Maphorisa in the list.

1. Black Coffee: Black Coffee remains the South African legend in the DJ industry. Holding many residences in Africa, Black Coffee has always proved that Africa is not a jungle. He recently held a mix that took hours in a cave where he proved to the World we can do whatever other continents are doing too.

Apart from being the only South African DJ to appear in the Guinness Book Of Records, DJ Black Coffee created a new Guinness Record of 60 hours of DJing, making him the first DJ to play for 60 hours with only one hand. He lost the use of his left arm in an accident at the age

Showing how much he has done in the industry, international artist Drake 2 years ago featured him on his More Life album where he extended how good he is to the World again.
