Kabza De Small and DJ Maphorisa gave South Africans snippets into their lives before fame and wealth during an interview on a YouTube show named, Crowning Moments.

The two briefly talked about how they hustled hard before gaining access into the music industry.

At age 17/18, the King of Amapiano did jobs like cutting grass, fixing sewage drains; he worked for the Municipality.

While Lawd Phori sold sweets at schools, and made R150 daily; at some point he delved into gambling, but it dealt with his pocket till he had to stop.

Kabza said hustle wasn’t easy back then, but here they are as successful DJs.
