Babes Wodumo speaks on working with Mampintsha despite critics on them.
The duo shook Mzansi in 2019 with their relationship saga, which got the West Ink boss cancelled.
Weeks after it appeared that they’ve split due to the abuse Babes suffered, it turned out that they settled their issues and continued as being couple.
Though, this infuriated most South Africans and some went as far as cancelling them.
Babes managed winning lots of hearts with her new album.
Speaking about musically working with Mandla, the Gqom queen said:
“Mampintsha is the only one who understands me and the type of gqom I make. Mampintsha understands me and that’s why we make great music together, we are able to communicate properly.”
Babes also spoke on reason why she’s stuck with featuring Mampintsha on her songs.
“Also a lot of artists don’t really understand gqom, so I don’t want a situation where I feature people that will make my songs lame or drain my vibe. However, I do most of the singing on the songs and I also feature on songs from his album.”
She also pointed out that their working space is healthy, and they don’t get all mushy or lovey-dovey while in a work space.
“We have a very good working relationship. When we are busy at work, we are not boyfriend and girlfriend. We understand each other and we work!”.
