Lady Du and K.O

Lady Du slams reports of being bigger than K.O.

The Amapiano star recently addressed the rapper’s diss directed at her.

“Let me tell you about people that don’t check numbers. Go to my social media and check how many followers I have, and go to his followers. Then go to my music, then go to his music, I’m not going to say anything after that… Check the numbers, don’t go writing songs, check the numbers,” she said.

She exuded respect for the rapper but condemned the diss track.

People who viewed the podcast where she addressed the issue claimed Du meant she was bigger than the rapper.

Lady Du returned to social media to set the record straight.

“I never said I was bigger than KO let’s get that correct first, I said the reason I didn’t drop a diss track was because I checked the numbers on my streams and since he said I did nothing with myself, I was happy to see that some of the songs I was on were higher in streams,” she tweeted.

In a lengthy post, the Wawa CEO said she has been in the industry for years and won’t permit anyone to belittle her hard work.

“Piano chose me, a lot of you are only finding out about me now, but I started with most of your legends, I just started at a time that God didn’t want me to pop in, he chose now, he knew I’d have more wisdom, I’d be able to educate his kids, I’d never make music about me but people, I’ll help those in need,” she wrote.

“No man should ever come for a woman’s bread and butter no matter what the situation is, we all don’t have the same set up, I’m not signed to no record label that helps push my music so yes my music might be dated but it did what it had to,” Du added.
