DJ Pencil is dead
Bacardi musician Sammy Moripe has died.
The musician who was one of the duo Pencil & Zing Master was confirmed to have passed away on social media.
Sammy was among the Amapiano pathfinders.
The cause of his death is unknown but a few tributes have poured in for the late star.
“Another Barcadi artist has passed on Rest in Peace to Sammy ‘Pencil’ Moripe from the Barcadi duo -Pencil & Zingmaster. We send our deepest condolences to the Moripe family. This a huge loss to the township of Atteridgeville and PTA townships,” the tweet announcing his death reads.
Amapiano not Barcadi. Pencil is one of the pathfinders of Amapiano. Tshwara is an early variant of Pretoria Amapiano.
